Q: Why choose plywood over particleboard?
A: Our furniture grade plywood cabinets are by far a much higher quality product than any particleboard cabinet. Plywood is much stronger and lighter than particleboard. If anyone tells you they are the same product, ask them if they sell particleboard. But don't take our word for it - ask anyone in the construction industry if a plywood cabinet is superior to particleboard.
Q: What are the cabinets made of?
A: Our cabinet sides and faces are plywood. The doors are MDF with a Rugged Thermofuse melamine finish.
Q: How are the cabinets held together?
A: The assembly is a patented dovetail joint. This type of joint is the strongest in the industry.
Q: What about the backs?
A: Unlike particleboard cabinets, our backs are not necessary to hold our cabinets together. Because of this, they are an option and only required when the garage walls are not finished. But to answer the question they are constructed out of hardwood fiber board.
Q: Are your cabinets good for the DIY'er?
A: The dovetail construction allows for a cabinet to be built by even a beginner in minutes. Having the strongest cabinet and being assembled in the shortest time makes our product perfect for someone who wants to do their own garage.
Q: How much weight can the shelves hold?
A: The shelves have a 250lb capacity. In most cases this is far more than is required in most applications, but shows how superior the construction is.
Q: Tell me about the lifetime warranty
A: The warranty covers manufacturer defects. No warranty in the industry covers damage the end user might cause. So the real question is what product can withstand the abuse a consumer might dish out? Here the answer is obvious that plywood will hold up much longer than particleboard in a garage environment and under just about any circumstance.
Q: What are some of the advantages of organizing my garage?
A: Vehicles are American’s second largest expense next to buying a home. With that in mind doesn’t it make sense to protect them from the suns UV damage as much as possible?
Parking your car in your garage makes them far less prone to being broken into or vandalized.
A well organized garage makes finding things easier.
A messy garage is an open invitation for rodents and insects to set up shop.
Q: Why choose slide-lok?
A: Because of their superior construction, they will last for many years. If you move, you can take them with you by simply removing the screws from the wall. We don’t recommend you try that with a particleboard cabinet.
Q: How will they add value to my home?
A: When people are shopping for a home and notice that the homeowner has made wise choices in their home improvement decisions, it helps put a potential buyer at ease that quality mattered to the previous homeowner.
